Clemson University Implements New Management Information System for University Facilities Operations
(Wayne, PA -- July 07, 2009) AssetWorks, a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software, announced today that it has been selected to provide facilities management software and implementation services for South Carolina’s Clemson University.
The University was looking for an experienced software provider with a proven track record of success in Higher Education and offers an easy to use solution providing robust facilities management functionality, reporting, and analytics. After a competitive procurement process that included on-site demonstrations and a full analysis of EAM software applications, Clemson University selected AssetWorks' AiM™ Enterprise Asset Management software.
“Clemson University, like many of our clients, needed a software solution that can track and control maintenance costs, preserve the value of their physical assets, and ultimately streamline and enhance service delivery to their students, faculty and staff,” said Ken Slaughter, Senior Vice President of AssetWorks. “AssetWorks is delighted to be working with one of the nation’s leading research universities and we are looking forward to another successful implementation.”
One of the country’s top public universities, Clemson University combines the best of small-college teaching and big-time science, engineering and technology. Serving more than 17,000 students, the University maintains 500 acres of improved grounds and approximately 3.8 million square feet of building area. With its college-town, lakefront setting against a backdrop of mountains and forests, Clemson is characterized by a strong sense of community, a commitment to service and a love of winning – in academics, in athletics and in life.
